Atisha’s Lamp n°5 – The Middle Scope

atishaAbout a thousand years ago, the great pandit and meditator Atisha (982-1054) was invited to Tibet to restoring the original purity of Buddhist teaching, which in previous centurieshad been repressed and polluted by erroneous interpretations and practices. One of the great works done by Atisha in Tibet was the composition of the fundamental text Lamp on the Path to Enlightenment, in which he drew the essence of all the teachings of the Buddha, structured into an organic whole, clear and sequential, which facilitates understanding and practice of Buddhism.
